Culturally-adapted Family Intervention

"We commissioned Just Psychology CIC to provide two days of training on 'Cultural Competence' to separate groups of Family Support Members and Family Therapists in February 2015.  These workers were taking part in a trial of Culturally-adapted Family Intervention (CaFI) for African-Caribbean people with psychosis.

Attendees at both sessions rated the training extremely highly in terms of interest and relevance to their learning needs - in fact the most frequent feedback was that they wanted more!  Just Psychology CIC took our needs on board and carefully tailored the content of each day towards the level of existing experience each group had.  Combined with the use of diverse media and fun exercises, as well as a focus on exploring our own individual 'culture', this targeted approach allowed everyone to participate with confidence - which led to two very dynamic days of discussion!

"Overall we were extremely pleased with the sessions provided and would recommend Just Psychology CIC to anyone with similar training needs."
