Helen is a member of Just Psychology's advisory board.

She is a graduate of Lancaster University and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW).  She is a Partner at leading North West Accountancy firm, HURST and she has over 20 years’ of experience in accounts, audit, strategic advice and tax compliance. In her role at HURST, she is responsible for a portfolio of clients including many charities, social enterprises, mutual organisations and regulated entities.  She is trained through the Institute of Risk Management in Business Process Improvement, Risk Management and Governance, and she is a member of the ICAEW Not-for-profit and Charities Faculty. 

Helen consults and trains businesses in a number of specialist areas including financial management, risk management and governance, regulatory compliance, fraud awareness, grants and other funding.

Helen frequently delivers seminars to charities and not-for-profit organisations and has written numerous articles in specialist publications. She is often called upon by the press to comment on things going on in the sector.  Helen was awarded the Manchester Chartered Accountants Finance Leader in Practice 2016. She is a trustee of a local charity and sits on the Advisory Board of the Business Growth Hub.
