Our mission is to improve the accessibility and appropriateness of psychological and mental health services for black and minority ethnic children and their families by providing evidence-based, effective, and culturally competent interventions. We believe that a person’s culture profoundly impacts their development and how they cope with situations they encounter. We pride ourselves on continual professional development, reflective learning, and positive partnership working to deliver tailored services to an individual’s or family’s cultural context that focus on prevention and effective, long-lasting outcomes.
Our approach offers a different perspective on the challenges facing families and children and professional practice - making us a trusted partner to legal, community, and social services.
Organisations we have provided services to include; Great Places Housing Trust, Brentnall Community Primary School, Bury Council, Liverpool City Council, Alder Hey Children’s NHS Trust, Manchester Metropolitan University, Trafford MBC, Salford City Council, Chorlton High School, Manchester City Council, and Manchester Mental Health & Social Care Trust.
Just Psychology is on the Manchester City Council Family Resource and Intervention Framework, the Approved Register for Counselling in Schools in Salford, and Trafford's Early Help Dynamic Purchasing System. We are fully compliant with the 20 Salford Safeguarding Standards.
We have created a leaflet on Coronavirus and Emotional Wellbeing for children and families.
